Memberships
Association members are classified: Active Members, Honorary Members, Linked Affiliate Members and Student.
Active Members Geologists and geophysicists are linked to the oil industry, having filed an application for active membership of the Association, are accepted by the Board as such.
Honorary Members Active members are those of the Association for providing valuable services to the country or Association, in the field of geology and geophysics of oil, are nominated by any active member of the association, approved only by the Board and ratified by the general assembly. Honorary Members may be called by the Board or the General Assembly to serve as honorary advisors of the Association. Members who will receive the Badge Wheeler Association Honorary Members. Honorary Members are exempt from paying dues to the Association.
Affiliate Members Geologists and geophysicists are not directly linked to the oil industry and / or those professionals who, not being geologists and geophysicists, are linked to the oil industry and have scientific or professional interest in geology and petroleum geophysics; apply to join the Association as Affiliate Members and are accepted as such by the Board.
Student Linked Undergraduate students are learning in the last two years of his professional career in geology, Geophysics, or Earth Sciences. Students who wish to enter the Association must submit application for membership similar to that of members. Students accepted by the Board and linked to the Association shall be known as “connected student”. They are members of the Association as students linked exclusive, name to be used when referring to his relationship with the same. Not entitled to vote in matters of the Association or may recommend candidates. Students can stay connected to the Association for a maximum period of two years. Students will pay a third of the value of active membership fees. The graduate students who wish to enter the association shall apply for registration as a professional in the classification of members or affiliates.
